Nigeria Union Dispute: The Chasm Between Talking About A Problem And Pursuing The Solution To That Problem.

“We cannot on the one hand, claim that we seek Liberation from the bondage imposed by the Unitary Constitution of Nigeria, and on the other hand plunge ourselves and others into further National Elections under that same Constitution, chanting ‘Electoral Reforms’ as the Solution to deep-seated constitutional anomalies”.
Listening to People who speak heartily about the “Problem of the Igbo” in Nigeria, or even the wider Nigerian Question regarding why Nigeria is where it is today, one would imagine that they would be most eager to solve the Problem by the most expeditiously way possible.
Unfortunately, that has not been the case with many who shout very loudly about those problems, as they often coil back from, and even reject or sabotage the plain and obvious solution to the problems they so eloquently lament about when presented with a potent, ready-for-use solution package, preferring instead to pursue solutions that sustain the 1999 Constitution and so actually compound the Problems in circumstances that suggest dishonesty and self-seeking motives.
In the case of the “Igbo Problem” in Nigeria, just as for the wider Nigerian Question itself, it is astonishing that in the face of the clear DIAGNOSIS, PRESCRIPTION and TREATMENT Plan already painstakingly distilled, deployed and presented to all by the LNC (Lower Niger Congress) and its NINAS Allies, many agitators for “change” including Peter Obi, Dele Farotimi, Omoyele Sowore, Nnamdi Kanu, Simon Ekpa, Pat Utomi and a retinue of others will choose to dance in circles around the known core of the problems, speaking loudly in lamentations but do the exact opposite of what could actually solve the Problems, even when they have had the privilege of being presented with the comprehensive and indisputably correct Diagnosis, potent Prescription and Viable Treatment Plan.
Same goes for all the Political Merchants across all Political Parties in Nigeria as well as Religious Leaders, Traditional Rulers, Media Practitioners including Social Media Influencers, Civil Society Organizations, Youth Organizations, Labour and Professional Bodies including the Nigerian Bar Association. Ditto for all other individuals and groups that come to the public space to lament the situation of Nigeria or canvass for the change they describe as ‘Restructuring’.
It is now past debate that the “Igbo Problem” in Nigeria with roots that stretch back to British Colonial Mischief to the inexplicable gang-up of the rest of Nigeria, currently framed and institutionalized by the prevailing Unitary Constitutional Order imposed between 1975 and 1999 by the Caliphate-Led Victorious 1967 Alliance of the rest of Nigeria after the 1967-1970 Genocidal War against the East which essentially isolated the Igbo East into the Dot-In-Circle Political and Economic Quarantine.
Tragically for the rest of Nigeria, the Constitutional, Economic, Security, Infrastructural and Developmental Shackles and Manacles ostensibly placed on the Igbo by virtue of the 68-Item Federal Exclusive Legislative List in that Caliphate-Imposed Unitary Constitution (1999), was also targeting the Indigenous Rest of Nigeria that gleefully went along with the Caliphate in the 1966-1970 Igbo containment carnage, but which are now at the receiving end of the Fulani Conquest Onslaught sweeping like wild-fire across their Territories, particularly in Yakubu Gowon’s and Theophilus Danjuma’s Middle-Belt as well as Obasanjo’s Yorubaland.
It is now self-evident that this Unitary Constitutional imposition which locked down Igboland since 1970 and locked out Igbo from meaningful participation in the Top-Level Governance and Management of Nigeria, is also responsible for the many woes of Nigeria, resulting in the total Dysfunction and Multidimensional Failure manifesting in widespread Killings, Insecurity, Economic Devastation, Mass Poverty and Hopelessness for the Peoples of Nigeria.
It is also now past debate that the solution to both the Igbo Exclusion in Nigeria and the wider Nigerian Problem is to extinguish the known single source these two issues, namely – the Unitary Constitutional Order Imposed on a Federal Union.
The Strategy and Mechanism for pursuing that extinguishment is to Take Down the 1999 Constitution. The Logical first-step in deploying that Strategy is to reject further National Elections under that 1999 Constitution as each round of National Elections under that Constitution merely reinforces the life and operation of that Constitution.
This is where the lamentations and agitations of those who canvass change in the fortunes of the Igbo in Nigeria or in the fortunes of Nigeria itself will meet its integrity test. It can be said without equivocation that anyone who professes change for either the Igbo Situation in Nigeria or for Nigeria itself MUST of necessity join in the urgent Task of Taking Down Nigeria’s 1999 Unitary Constitution ahead of all other exertions in search of change.
For the Igbo leg of the problem, it is not rocket science to know that the bondage in which the Igbo now live in Nigeria was deliberately emplaced by the Unitary Constitution of Nigeria AND that the Solution to the Liberation of the Igbo from that bondage lies essentially in the Defeat and Wholesale Decommissioning of that Constitution which immediately restores the Sovereignty of the Igbo and also of every other trapped Ethnic Nation of the Failed Lugardian Experiment of 1914 masquerading as “Nigeria”.
For the wider Nigerian Question and Problem, it is also not rocket science to know that the Liberation of the Peoples of Nigeria from the bondage of the Caliphate Monster operating as Unitary Nigeria, lies in the Defeat and Wholesale Decommissioning of the Death-And-Poverty-Dispensing 1999 Constitution.
It is this Task of the Wholesale Decommissioning of the atrocious 1999 Constitution that NINAS is Leading. It is in furtherance of that Task that NINAS activated the December 16, 2020 Constitutional Force Majeure which Declared a Union Dispute and advanced a Five-Point TRANSITIONING Proposition for the Constitutional Reconstruction of Nigeria which essentially prescribes the suspension of plans for further rounds of National Elections under the 1999 Constitution since the winners of such Elections must swear to and govern by that Constitution, no matter which Party they belong to.
It is against the backdrop of the foregoing that we can evaluate the sincerity of those who come to the public space to speak about or mobilize efforts towards solving either the Igbo Marginalization in Nigeria or solving the wider Nigerian Problem often referred to as “the Nigerian Question”
It is the contention of NINAS that anyone who genuinely seeks change in Nigeria today or who genuinely seeks Liberation and salvation for the trapped and Traumatized Peoples of Nigeria MUST now expressly declare their rejection of the Unitary Constitution of Nigeria (1999) as basis of Union and also expressly reject the Voyage to another round of National Elections in 2027 under the 1999 Constitution. They must instead, join in the demand for the initiation of an immediate Transitioning for Constitutional Reconstruction in place of another round of National Elections in 2027, just like South Africa did in 1990 to ease itself out of the Apartheid Constitutional bind.
Anything less will be either a product of Ignorance or Dishonesty.
We cannot on the one hand, claim that we seek Liberation from the bondage imposed by the Unitary Constitution of Nigeria, and on the other hand plunge ourselves and others into further National Elections under that same Constitution, chanting “Electoral Reforms” as the Solution to deep-seated constitutional anomaly.
KNOWING THAT the Unitary Constitution of Nigeria is the Chief-Enabler of the Fulani Conquest Onslaught as well as the Tinubu State Capture Gambit that has already resulted in the suspension of the Rule of Law and the deliberate Economic Strangulation of the Populace;
AND KNOWING THAT the 2027 Elections is the reason that nothing is being done to arrest the Fulani Invasion, the Tinubu State Capture Gambit and the deliberate Economic Strangulation of the Populace, it will be tantamount to self-immolation to join Nigeria’s Political Merchants in their Voyage to 2027 Elections that will reinforce the 1999 Constitution instead of joining the NINAS push to halt the doomed Voyage to 2027 and for the initiation of an immediate Transitioning Process to wind up the operation of the 1999 Constitution and rescue the Sovereignties confiscated by that Constitution.
