The Soul Of The Igbo-East Departed Nigeria Amidst The Genocide Unleashed By The Rest Of Nigeria Against The Igbo Since Mid-1966

The short video reel link below is in the Igbo language. The senior Nigerian military officer speaking is in Igboland requesting that Igbo Governors and Igbo Traditional Rulers help in encouraging Igbo youth to join the military.

“My Rejoinder to the Igbo Brigadier-General speaking in this clip is to inform him and his listeners that the Soul of Eastern Nigeria, particularly the Igbo East, departed from the Nigerian Union since the pogroms, massacres, Genocidal War and the several post-war Anti-Igbo punitive policies that got consolidated into the Unitary Constitution of 1979 (carried forward as 1999 Constitution), imposed as Victory Charter from the War of 1967-1970 to permanently EXCLUDE and SUBJUGATE Igbo in Nigeria.”

For the avoidance of doubt, let it be known to all that the Genocide unleashed against the Igbo-East by an Alliance of the rest of Nigeria since July 1966 was continued in 1970 by a series of Post-War Anti-Igbo Punitive Policies by the Government of Nigeria, including the Expropriatory £20-Per-Pre-War Bank Account, the Abandoned Property Decree and the Indigenization Decrees which were all aimed at the Economic Strangulation of the Igbo-East by the Government of Nigeria amidst deliberate Infrastructural Degradation of Igboland, are tantamount to Economic Genocide against the Igbo.

These Pernicious Punitive Policies were consolidated and reinforced by the imposition of a Unitary Constitution in 1979 by that Alliance of the rest of Nigeria, masquerading as the “Federal” Government of Nigeria. The summary of the foregoing is that the Genocide launched against the Igbo-East since Mid-1966 is still ongoing and will only end the day the prevailing Unitary Constitution of Nigeria (1999), is Terminated, Decommissioned and Replaced by Fully Negotiated Constitutional Protocols dictated by the Unfettered Self-Determination Imperative for the Constituent Components of Nigeria trapped in the Union of Death that Unitary Nigeria has become for them, particularly the Igbo.

Unless and Until Nigeria is Renegotiated, no amount of homilies and cajoling will persuade the young Igbo who are living in the torment and brazen deprivations of Unitary Nigeria and who see the routine fate of their fathers, uncles and older brothers in the Armed Forces of Nigeria, to join the Nigerian Military.
