- WHY UNITARY NIGERIA IS NOW BLEEDING TO DEATH.

Nigeria deliberately imposed a Scorched-Earth Economic Environment on the Igbo East for the Economic Strangulation of the Igbo East in continuation of the Genocide of 1966-1970 involving the killing of 5 million Easterners (by Gowon’s public admission); which featured Air, Land and Sea Blockades, Starvation to Death of over 2 million Biafran Children, reinforced by the demonic gerrymandering that is now being mocked as the Dot-In-Circle which was the main target of breaking the Eastern Region of 1966 into three States (South-Eastern, Rivers and the East-Central States) by Gowon’s Decree No.14 of May 27, 1967, effectively blocking the Igbo East from International Land Borders and Access to the Sea.
The immediate post-war punitive policies of Biafran Pounds Confiscation, (20-Pounds-Per-Pre- War-Account); the Abandoned Property Decree, and the Indigenization Decree that followed shortly after were some of the Economic Strangulation Policies inflicted on the Igbo East by the Illicit “Federal Government” of Nigeria that emerged from the July 1966 Collapse of the Federation of Nigeria, after three years of killings, bombardments and physical destruction of the Igbo space; (not reversed nor revisited to date).
(Note that the “South-Eastern State” of 1967 is the present Cross-River and Akwa-Ibom States. The Rivers State of 1967 is the Present Rivers and Bayelsa States and so the 1967 Balkanization of Nigeria’s Four Federating Regions into 12 States went from that initial 12 to the present 36 lame States with an omnipotent Federal Government presenting the grotesque and kwashiokored “Federation” we now have) arming itself with a 68-Item Federal Exclusive Legislative List.
As its Victory Charter from the Genocidal War of 1967-1970 which the Caliphate-led Alliance of 1967 against the Igbo East, that Alliance (still marauding in 2024) went ahead to impose the Unitary Constitution of 1979, (the Draft of which was commissioned by the butcher of Asaba called Murtala Mohammed), and which was carried forward in 1999 by the prefects of the same 1967 Alliance.
Unfortunately for the 1967 Alliance, the Forces of Heaven never condone the shedding of innocent blood nor does Nemesis sleep until retribution is effected and/or Justice is done. Those searching for the cure to the present torrents of torments, (including mass killings and mass hunger) currently sweeping across Unitary Nigeria, will do well to beam their searchlights on the atrocities of 1966 to 1999.
Those who doubt this should take a sober look at Section 6, Subsection 6(d) of the 1999 Constitution to behold the face of the monster devouring Nigerians now.
It is on account of the foregoing that I once wrote a short piece titled: “Nigeria Died Trying to Kill the Igbo”.

The Deliberate Falsehoods crafted and massively peddled by the Alliance of 1967 about how Ironsi and the Igbo destroyed the Federal Structure of Nigeria is just what it is: an unintelligent lie, believed by dishonest, lazy ignoramuses who could very easily find the truth if they sought it.
General Ironsi assumed power in mid-January 1966 following the failed January 15, 1966 coup by Middle-Rank Officers but was murdered July 29, 1966, in a counter-coup. The Four-Region Structure of Nigeria was fractured for the first time, May 27, 1967, into 12 States by Gowon’s Decree No.14 of 1967. On the tomb of Unitary Nigeria shall be written the Epitaph: Nigeria Died Trying To Kill The Igbo. – Tony Nnadi.”

Nothing can be built on a foundation of falsehood. Lies repeated a thousand times will not become Truth, and those who preach peace that is built on the foundations of grave Injustice will find themselves under the rubble of their hypocrisy and dishonesty.
