Tony Nnadi, NINAS
18 May 2025
Very sadly and most tragically, the energies that should have been channeled into Terminating the life of that 1999 Constitution by Rejecting and Shutting Down the Voyage to 2027 are being wasted on Electoral Reforms that will only facilitate the doomed voyage to 2027.
It should now be a past debate that Nigeria under the current Unitary Constitution (1999) is not a Democracy, neither are the Rule of Law or Good Governance Possible under that Constitution.
It should also now be past debate that the Woes and Failures of Nigeria as well as the Miseries of Nigerians flow principally from that Unworkable Unitary Constitution whether we lament about Corruption, Impunity, Insecurity, Killings, Infrastructural Decay, Mass Poverty, Serial Electoral Heists or the Multidimensional Dysfunctions of Nigeria now manifesting advanced symptoms of State Failure and Collapse.
With the Fulani Conquest March in full swing and Boko Haram Murderous Onslaught in audacious advance, it should be obvious to all that plunging to 2027 Elections under the very Unitary Constitution that enables and facilitates both the Fulani Conquest March and Tinubu State Capture gambit, cannot be the solution to Nigeria’s multifaceted Existential Threats currently confronting both the Nigerian State and the Peoples of Nigeria.
It is against the backdrop of this extraordinary emergency that NINAS will renew its invitation to the Peoples of Nigeria to brace up for the reality of now and save themselves from the dangers currently racing towards them by adopting and enforcing the Five-Point Union Reconfiguration Proposition of the NINAS Constitutional Force Majeure which stipulates the shelving of further National Elections under the 1999 Constitution and the initiation of an immediate Transitioning Process to rework the Damaged Constitutional Basis of Nigeria, via an orderly process that will Decommission and Jettison Nigeria’s atrocious Unitary Constitution (1999) just as South Africa did in 1990 to ease itself out of the Apartheid Constitutional Bind.
NINAS posits unequivocally that the Five-Point Proposition of its December 16, 2020, Constitutional Force Majeure offers Nigeria and Nigerians, the most immediate and most viable pathway to redemption from the Clear and Present Danger of both the raging Fulani Conquest Onslaught and the Disastrous State-Capture that has already resulted in what is evidently the Suspension of the Rule of Law and the emergence of a One-Party State, as the adoption and enforcement of those Propositions extinguishes the Source of the Woes and Miseries, namely – the Fraudulent, Imposed Unitary Constitution of Nigeria, 1999
After seven rounds of National Elections since the return of civil rule in 1999 and the illusion of Democracy, the Peoples of Nigeria, as victims of Nigeria’s Imposed Unitary Constitution must now find the wisdom and courage to heed the invitation of NINAS to shelve just one round of National Elections in 2027 as a Demonstration of their Rejection of the Master-Servant Constitution which renders them Slaves in their Homeland and exposes them to the Slaughter and Conquest Designs of both the Fulani Invaders and the Reckless Political Merchants driving the State Capture that has plunged Nigeria into a Free-Fall on all fronts, particularly Economic and Security.
What confronts Nigeria and the Peoples of Nigeria today is the Hijack and Confiscation of Sovereignty by internal and external forces seeking to conquer and exterminate them. It will amount to suicide and self-immolation to carry on with the hollow ritual of Elections and Electoral Reforms whilst ignoring the urgent self-preservation and self-redemption Constitution- Reconstruction measures dictated by these clear and present dangers.

Shutting Down Preparations for the 2027 Elections inside 2025 in Rejection of the 1999 Constitution and Demanding Immediate Transitioning for Union Renegotiation is the Action Required To Break the Cycle of Renewal of the Bondage that Unitary Nigeria has become for Nigerians.
