As Mass Killings, Monumental Corruption and Mass Impoverishment continue to ravage Nigeria increasingly, Election after Election, it has finally dawned on many that the problems of Nigeria which are Systemic and Structural, are rooted in Nigeria’s Fundamentally Flawed Unitary Constitution and that Elections cannot solve the Problems.

For years, many erroneously believed that the problem was merely corruption and bad leadership but a simple cause-effect analysis will show that both corruption and bad leadership are themselves products of the fundamentally flawed and untenable Unitary Constitution of Nigeria which renders good Governance and Rule of Law impossible, starting with the very process of recruiting political leadership (Elections).

It has now become clear to many that neither Elections nor Electoral Reforms can resolve the multidimensional dysfunctions imposed by an anomalous Unitary Constitutional Arrangement and that what is required is a wholesale Constitutional Reconstruction of the Distressed Nigerian Federation which is already a study in State-Failure and sliding rapidly into Anarchy unless something halts and reverses the current trajectory.

In the clip above, Investigative Journalist, David Hundeyin, admits that it dawned on him only after the 2023 Elections, that the problems of Nigeria are Systemic, (ie rooted in Nigeria’s Constitution), and therefore far deeper than what Elections can solve.

Having owned up to being in relative ignorance on the subject until after the 2023 Elections, (like millions of others), the question that arises is:

”Now that we all know better, what will we do differently, especially in the face of the clear pathway to redemption (ie Transition-For-Union-Reconstruction), offered by those who fully understood the problem from the onset (NINAS) in charting that pathway?”
